Superheroes, Startups, and Science: Our Week with Boost VC

No, this isn’t a venue for Comic-Con. This is the start of Founder’s Summit week with Boost VC in San Mateo, California, USA!
Walking in, the office spaces screamed creativity and making sci-fi real with all the VR products and newspaper clippings of past founders becoming successful. We started the week off with office hours with Brayton and Mark where we discussed future plans, brainstormed future endeavors of PoSciDonDAO and much more. Between office hours and building, we got the chance to meet so many other crypto and non-crypto founders and be inspired by what they are building.
The rest of the week was filled with talks from investors and successful entrepreneurs, exercises to improve our pitching skills, networking, and lots of deep tech talks. We had the opportunity to hear talks from Tim Draper, Arielle Zuckerberg, Steve Jurvetson, and Surbhi Sarna and ask them questions. While we wish we could share more specifics about what went on and discussed, the majority of the discussions were confidential so that everyone could open up and share anything they wanted in a safe space.
Throughout the week, we were honored that we could be in such a space with so many builders. Each one of us, obsessed with our projects, wanting to support and help each other succeed. The amount of ideas and tools people shared were invaluable. We were so happy to see that there were plenty of academia-scientists-turned-entrepreneurs there too, building some incredible products to build a better future for society. The week was a treasure trove of resources, collaborations, and shared knowledge — and that’s before even factoring in the impact of Boost VC’s support for PoSciDonDAO.

Our immediate focus? Launching our dApp and kickstarting research proposals for our members to vote on. This will be the first step in demonstrating how decentralized governance can reshape biotech funding, making it more transparent, efficient, and accessible to researchers who need it most.
